Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Show Up! Missoula, a community event listing platform operated by Future Tense Collective. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. If you’re using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you’re under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent. Browsing events requires no account or personal information — anyone can use the site to discover what’s happening in Missoula.

3. Use of the Service

3.1 Permitted Use

Show Up! Missoula is a public event listing platform for discovering community events. You may use the Service for any lawful purpose consistent with these Terms.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Submit spam, unsolicited promotions, or fraudulent event listings
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or connected networks
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our written permission

4. Event Submissions

You can submit events to Show Up! Missoula through our submission form. When you submit an event, you agree to the following:

4.1 Content License

You retain ownership of any content you submit (event descriptions, images, links). By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Service. This license ends if we remove your content from the platform.

4.2 Accuracy and Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the events you submit. You represent that you have the right to share any content you provide (including images and descriptions), and that your submission does not violate any third party's rights or any applicable laws.

4.3 Review and Moderation

All submissions are reviewed by our team before publishing. We reserve the right to edit, decline, or remove any submission at our discretion — including content that is inaccurate, misleading, or doesn’t align with the community focus of the platform.

5. Event Listings

We curate events for the Missoula community, but we do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any event listing. Event details are provided by organizers and may change without notice. You attend events at your own risk, and we are not responsible for any issues arising from events listed on the Service.

6. Newsletter and Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you agree to receive emails about events, community updates, and FTC projects. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your email address.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its design, features, and original content — is owned by Future Tense Collective and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Show Up! Missoula name, logo, and related branding are trademarks of Future Tense Collective. You may not use these marks without our written permission.

8. Third-Party Links

Event listings and other content on the Service may link to third-party websites. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Following external links is at your own discretion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Future Tense Collective and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, any third-party conduct or content on the Service, or unauthorized access to your submissions.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Future Tense Collective and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We may restrict or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms. Provisions that should naturally survive termination — including disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification — will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Montana.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top and post the revised version here. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Future Tense Collective regarding your use of Show Up! Missoula.
